What inspired you to launch your own website?

To remain competitive in the industry, also to display samples of our work and to reach out to prospective customers.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We first launched a website for our former company several years ago. It was basically the same but now that we expanded our business and renamed the company, we have more pictures of work that has been completed.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name of the website is after the name of our company, D & G Decorative Painting. The D & G stands for the first initial of the owners of the company's names.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Our site is very user friendly, it's easy to navigate around to see the gallery or to find the contact page. We give a description of our company and some highlights of why someone should choose us for their painting job.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We will keep the site and will add on to it. We will add more pictures as they come available, articles, possibly a newsletter.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Right now, there is not anything I would change.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Of course.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Like with any business there are always unexpected costs and head aches along the way.

What has been your biggest challenge?

n/a

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google Pay per click, and personally introducing the site to other designers and contractors.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Actually, it's everything I expected it to be.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

about 6 months. We will keep it up as long as the company is in business, in other words, we don't plan on taking it down.

What is your website address?
