Please give us a short summary of your website?
We specialize in cold water and hot water pressure washers, flat surface cleaners and a complete line of pressure washing accessories. We are not only an online store we we have been in the same location for over 29 years and offer service and build custom pressure washing trailers to spec.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We are very knowledgable in the pressure washer field and we have a very loyal clientel and I figured if we can make so many people happy locally why not expand and make every one happy our prices and large selections of quality products is unsurpassed.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first website was launched about 7 years ago it was merrillfoxenterprises.com and just recently we decided to launch our new site and rename it mypressurewashers.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We wanted the name pressure washer in the url since it says it all about the product we sell.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Other online stores do not have the experience and expertise that we have. We know what's right for the application and can recommend the right equipment at the right price. We can solve most technical problems right over the phone in most cases.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I want to keep the site and have it produce added income
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The time and money that I am investing right know is much greater than the success I am trying to achieve at the moment but all good things will come with time and patience.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would not make any changes it took to long to develop this new site.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I would have to hire more help but the physical location is perfect.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The only unexpected cost was joining Google adwords and constantly updating and devising new words and phrases its enough to give anyone a headache.
What has been your biggest challenge?
To get to the first page on Google in the generic listings
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Right now its been the Google adwords.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
takes much more time and effort than I anticipated.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The new site has been up and running for 2 1/2 months and as far as I'm concerned there is no turning back.
